On this occasion, we caught up with Alexandre Pierron, Managing Director - Head of Operations & Compliance, to find out why iM Global Partner is such a great company to work for.


 

Which HR practice is most appreciated by your employees?
We place high importance on creating an environment where our employees can thrive and do their best work. As well as offering a good location and quality office environment, a key part of this is ensuring that we operate as a collaborative and cohesive team. To help cement this, we actively support socialising across our teams through gatherings, shared lunches and opportunities to come together to help the local charities we support. I believe our Luxembourg team appreciate the opportunity to spend time together in this way alongside their regular working interactions with each other.

 

Please give an example of how one of your values is put into practice every day?
One of our four values is ‘Respect with Challenge’. We respect our colleagues, Partners, clients, suppliers - constantly challenging ourselves and others so we may create a successful business built on productive, lasting relationships. This value points to our non-hierarchical nature where we actively welcome and encourage all employees to ask questions, contest existing practices, bring new ideas and challenge each other (and themselves), to reach the best possible outcome. Our Luxembourg office represents different departments from across our organisation and each team member actively lives this value daily, never hesitating to exchange, discuss and respectfully challenge each other.

 
What do you do to build employee loyalty?
As a company, we place high importance on trust, autonomy and growth. We use tools such as the GPTW survey, alongside maintaining an open and ongoing dialogue with all of our colleagues on a day-to-day basis, and then act on the insight gained from this. We believe this way, we can better understand our employees’ personal and career


What soft skills do you most look for in your candidates?
We believe that ‘performance is born out of people’ and the talents and skills that our people bring are central to our success. We therefore hire highly efficient, effective people who are aligned to and motivated by our culture. We look for candidates who embody our values, with an entrepreneurial spirit, long-term perspective, willingness to challenge and be challenged, do what they say they will, and who actively enjoy working alongside their equally talented colleagues in a motivating and dynamic environment with high standards of excellence.


What do you offer to your employees to set you apart from the competition and make you more attractive to future employees
Like Luxembourg itself, we have an international outlook and culture.
